Prosecution Unit
The Prosecution Division is responsible for preparing cases for criminal prosecution in the Rhode Island District and Superior Courts. The officers assigned to this unit represent the police department at arraignments of arrestees, prepare subpoenas for officers and witnesses, transport evidence to court, and assist prosecutors in case presentation. This unit is also responsible for the proper recordkeeping of warrants, protective orders and any other court orders.
